The 1 inch Flatbottom
How low do you want to go? The Nettles 1-inch stirrup provides that sleek 1 inch of wood all around, including the tread. This Flatbottom stirrup makes moving out of the 1 inch oxbow an easy move. If you still ride an oxbow because you like its slender sides and tread but would like to have a Flatbottom stirrup, this is the stirrup for you.
The 2 inch Flatbottom
This 2” Nettles Flatbottom is a comfortable fit, no matter if you perform, ranch or trail ride. It is that comfort that has made it the #1 seller in the Premier line. As with all Premier stirrups, the 6 pieces of laminated oak give it extra strength while the use of the highest quality leather for pin covers and treads guarantees you’ll have plenty of rides in the saddle before these stirrups need re-treading!
The 3 inch Flatbottom
Like a little more platform for that boot? Then check out the Nettles 3” Flatbottom. With those 6 pieces of laminated wood adding a little cushion to the tread, this stirrup, along with its bigger brother the 4 inch flatbottom, provides plenty of space for any size boot.
The Flatbottom Oversize
Wide welt boots and thicker soles have grown the popularity of the Oversize Flatbottom stirrup in leaps and bounds. It offers more width inside, measuring 5 ¾ inches at its widest part. The Oversize stirrup is available in 1 ½ and 2 inch widths, but can be custom-made in any width the rider desires.
The Flatbottom Short/Petite
The Nettles Short Flatbottom stirrup is an inch shorter than the regular stirrup so it sets lower on the rider’s shin, eliminating pain from too-tall stirrups. The inside dimensions of 4 ¾ inches also fits the more narrow foot better, eliminating that “wallowing” feeling that comes from a stirrup that is too wide.
The Overshoe Flatbottom
The Overshoe Flatbottom stirrup is primarily designed to use with pack boots so there is plenty of wiggle room in these stirrups. In fact, the inside diameter measures 6 inches, and since the stirrups is also 6 inches from the bolt to the tread, it is as wide as it is tall. Standard tread widths are 1 ½ and 2 inch but treads can be custom made according to your desire.
The Small Youth Flatbottom
This 1 1/2″ flatbottom stirrup has been downsized to fit today’s youth foot. It has all of the markings of a regular size Premier stirrups – 6 pieces of laminated wood, the highest quality leather, double steel strength in the throat – that make them the best in the industry, but is only —– inches in width and —- inches in height. In fact, it is the only Nettles Stirrup we know of that gets handed down in the family!
